The 2023 Spring season is fast approaching.
The following is the Farm, Minor, and Major division's plan to kick off the season:
Spring Registration closes today, February 21st
Skills Assessments is this Saturday February 25th
All Farm, Minor and Major players should attend Skills Assessments. (The Rookies division players do NOT attend)
This year Skills Assessments will be held indoors at the
Northern Nevada Baseball facility located at 280 S. Rock Blvd. Ste 110 Reno NV.
Please arrive at least 15 mins early to check in. Due to the limited size of an indoor facility, parents will need to wait outside during skills assessment.
o Farm division starts at 4:00 pm
o Minor division starts at 5:30 pm
o Major division starts at 7:00 pm
During the Skills Assessment, each player will play catch with each other, catch 2 pop flys, and field 4 ground balls throwing to first base. They will then hit 5 pitches.This will give the Managers and Coaches the opportunity to evaluate each player's skill. Every player will make a team, but the Managers will use these evaluations to draft the best teams possible
Equipment Needed:
Each player will need to bring:
o Baseball glove
o Athletic or turf shoes. Cleats won’t be allowed.
o A protective cup for boys.
o Baseball pants or an athletic pant
Optional equipment:
o Batting Helmet
o Bat
o Batting Gloves
Managers Draft – Sunday February 26th
Players do not attend the draft, but all Managers and Coaches are required to attend.
After the draft is held, We will build the teams in the system. Once the rosters are posted you will get an automatic email telling you what team you will be on this year. At that point you will be able to see your practice schedule on-line. In the next couple days to follow you will receive and email from your coach introducing themselves and providing more information.
